The Texas Hill Country has its fair share of events on tap to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community during June, which is designated as Pride Month.

Pride Month is celebrated annually in June to honor the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer community. 

Here's a rundown of events in the Hill Country and along the Interstate 35 corridor:

New Braunfels

The New Braunfels Interfaith Association hosts an Interfaith Pride worship service at 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 6, at Faith Church United Church of Christ, inviting residents of all faiths and walks of life. Services are typically live-streamed over Zoom. June 6, 7 p.m., , 970 TX-337 Loop, New Braunfels, nbinterfaith.org

NBTX Pride at the Comal County fairgrounds in New Braunfels will have live music, vendors and a drag show on Saturday, June 8.  The event is organized by Riverside Pride, a New Braunfels-based nonprofit that hosts social events on the third Thursday of every month. Boerne 

The Boerne Pride Walk is set for June 8. It starts at the Patrick Heath Public Library at the north end of the city's downtown at 9. a.m. and lasts until noon. The walk officially starts at 10:15 a.m., but vendor booths open at 9 a.m. There's also a group yoga session at the city library in support of the event. June 8, 9 a.m - noon, 451 N. Hays County

Dripping Springs, which is southwest of Austin, hosts one of the few large-scale June events in Hays County, the Dripping Springs Pride celebration on June 22. From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., food, drinks and live music offer a more family friendly experience. Pride After Dark starts at 7 p.m. and ends at midnight, featuring aerial, burlesque and drag shows for those over 18 years old. Celebrate in September: San Marcos and Wimberley

San Marcos typically holds its Pride celebration in September so Texas State University students can attend. smtxpride.org

Wimberley also holds its Pride parade in September. It's currently scheduled for Sept. 21, according to its website. The small Hays County city about 11 miles northwest of San Marcos held its first parade in 2019. wimberleypride.org.
